Whenever I get an idea for a recipe, of course I have high hopes for its outcome whenever I get around to testing. Needless to say, only the tasty recipes live to see their moment on Food For The Face, and this little concoction is no exception.
Atop a chilled glass of sweet, creamy, nutty coffee is a mini donut garnish. All along I had intended the donut to be only that: a garnish. And then I dunked it. The fluffy donut soaks in just a little bit of the nutty coffee I mentioned, making for a heavenly little bite that nearly upstages the drink.
You absolutely have to try this with my Milk & Cookies Pancakes.
Hazelnut Coffee & Donuts Cocktail
½ cup Milk or Almond Milk
¼ cup Cold-brew Coffee Concentrate
1 oz (2 Tbsp) Glazed Donut Vodka
1/2 oz (1 Tbsp) Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur)
1 ½ tsp Powdered Sugar
1 mini donut
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients, and place top and lid securely on shaker.
Shake well until the outside of the shaker feels very cold, about 20-30 seconds.
Strain drink into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a mini donut and serve immediately.
I can think of absolutely nothing that would be more heavenly with this than my Milk & Cookies Pancakes!
